Trey Velvin

Senior Vice President – Marketing and Client Services

Mr. Velvin is SVP of Marketing and Client Services for Sarofim’s products. Trey is responsible for marketing the organization’s real estate investment and advisory services to institutional clients, fund raising, and general management of the firm’s investor relationships. Trey joined Sarofim in 2011, and he is a member of the Investment Committee.

Trey has over twenty-five years experience in real estate finance and investment management.  He comes to Sarofim after fourteen years with Lone Star Funds where he most recently served as Senior Vice President in the funds’ investor relations and fundraising group. During his tenure at Lone Star, he was also responsible for global closing, financing, and due diligence activities relating to new fund investments. In addition to his experience with Lone Star, Trey held positions at GE Capital Real Estate where he was responsible for large transaction closings and MetLife Real Estate where he led the management and disposition of distressed loan assets for the southwest region. 

Trey is a graduate of Southern Methodist University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance and an MBA.
